A few weeks ago, I posted pictures of my Hermione hat both here and on Facebook. A local friend asked if I could make her one, and I was happy to! I love yarn and having a reason to make things! I tried to order some here in town but that didn't work out, so I decided to travel to a yarn shop a little ways away in the country to find the perfect yarn. What was funny is that I wore a bluish shirt yesterday and decided to go to the library for storytime at the last minute. We're talking it's 10:12 and storytime starts at 10:30! I ran into my friend there and she commented that the shirt was exactly the color she was looking for! So with the shirt already on me, I was definitely more prepared to find the right color.
I found a few colors that were okay but not close enough, but then I found this yarn in Malabrigo. I love Malabrigo, so nice to knit with! I think the color is a pretty good match, perhaps a speck ligher than the blue of my shirt, but it was definitely the closest I'd found in the yarn shop.
