When trying to lose weight ...



Make desserts that you don't want to eat!  Any product with nuts will prevent me from indulging. :-)

Pictured are nutty shortbread bars.  The husband is eating them, and the kids keep coming inside to take bits and pieces, so I guess they are okay.  I think I took them out too soon, though, because the middle seems pretty soft.  I'll post a recipe if someone asks, but I know my best friend won't ask, because she's trying to avoid sugar and go gluten free in her diet!  Besides, I think she has the same cookbook as I do.  ;-)

Bwahahaaa! Ahhhh, I'm not sharing the recipe because my BF is avoiding sugar, but I WILL share photos that will make her mouth water and the cravings start! LOL!!

It's ok though, I splurged on some toffee covered peanuts on the way home this morning so you're safe....this time ;-)
